Weddings.

You might have noticed that the bass player in this picture is Foxey, our bass player. This is not him moving in on a bride at a wedding, this is a photo from his own wedding. We promise.

We love weddings. They're actually the best. The vibe is good, drinks are flowing, and it's the one day of your life that you will be completely surrounded by all the people who mean the most to you. You also want to make sure that after going $15k over budget, it is a night that nobody forgets in a hurry. Our advice from the experience of entertaining at hundreds of weddings is that people remember three things from a great wedding - Venue, Food, Music. Nail these three, and your friends will be raving about your wedding for the next decade.

This is where we come in. Picture this - you've just finished the Ceremony, and your guests are mingling over a glass of champagne and breaking the ice. In the background, a jazz trio is playing when all of a sudden people start to look over to them and smile. Awkward silences are replaced with a shared in-joke and a talking point - the band are playing "Despacito" in a jazz style, and have segued it into "Love Yourself". This is the reaction that we receive at every wedding that we play - humans love hearing covers as the human ear is attracted to music they know, and by appropriating the style to jazz, they get an endorphin hit as the penny drops. It's just chemistry, but has a huge impact on the enjoyment of your guests and how they remember your wedding.

Finally, we are very fortunate to work often at some of our favourite venues, and as such we would love to extend a 10% discount to couples getting married at the following venues:
